Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record
  • high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • ability to work independently
  • good communication, telephone, and human relation skills
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress
  • willingness to work varied hours including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends with rotating days off

Job Qualifications

  • previous hospital or clinical experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist patients and guests to and from cars, courtesy vans, shuttle buses, or taxis
  • establish and maintain a pleasant and helpful relationship with patients and guests
  • offer direction support and mobility assistance
  • answer general questions from guests
  • keep patient loading zones clear
  • transport patients, their personal belongings, or selected medical devices
  • call, record, and monitor taxi cabs and courtesy vehicles daily for patients and visitors
  • assist and support valet operations as directed
  • sanitize any equipment used to support patients
  • assist with traffic control in drive-up lanes to ensure safety
  • perform wheelchair recovery including hospital and clinic floors, hotels, and other campus areas
