Job Requirements
- minimum age 18 years
- ability to stand, walk and bend for extended periods
- ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects up to 30 pounds
- capacity to perform repetitive hand, eye and foot coordination tasks
- willingness to work graveyard shift
- ability to work in hot and cold store environments
- legal authorization to work in the country
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in bakery or food preparation preferred but not required
- basic understanding of bakery processes including fermentation and proofing
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures
- good communication skills to interact with customers and team members
Job Duties
- performs bakery functions such as preparing, frying and finishing bakery items according to standard formulas and procedures
- possesses knowledge of basic bakery terms and processes including fermentation, bench time, proofing and effects of temperature variations on bakery items
- assists in making orders for bakery ingredients and supplies and maintains inventory levels
- capable of filling, rotating, arranging and merchandising displays and display cases
- possesses knowledge of pricing, dating and wrapping or bagging bakery products
- possesses knowledge of bakery items, descriptions and ingredients to better serve guests and answer questions
