Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work overnight (graveyard) shifts
- Basic understanding of bakery operations
- Compliance with safety and company policies
- Willingness to work flexible schedules
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous bakery or food preparation experience is an asset
- Basic knowledge of bakery processes and terminology
- Ability to work overnight shifts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Performs bakery functions such as preparing, frying and finishing one or more bakery items at a time as directed according to standard formulas and procedures
- Possesses knowledge of basic bakery terms and processes such as fermentation, bench time, proofing and effects of temperature variations on bakery items
- Assists in making orders for bakery ingredients and supplies and maintains inventory levels in accordance with department and store policy
- Capable of filling, rotating, arranging and merchandising displays and display cases
- Possesses knowledge of pricing, dating and wrapping or bagging of all bakery products
- Possesses knowledge of bakery items, descriptions and ingredients so as to better serve our guests and answer any questions that might arise
