Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three months experience in clerical or customer service preferred
- Specific certification or licensing per State requirements
- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to interpret regulations and instructions
- Ability to understand verbal instructions
- Ability to read numbers and perform basic math
- Effective communication skills
- Must be able to work day and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
- Attendance and punctuality required
- Ability to use personal protective equipment at all times
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods
- Ability to lift and pull up to 35 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, or kneel
- Willingness to work in temperatures as low as -40C
- Ability to handle exposure to biohazards and blood borne pathogens
- Ability to perform precise motor skills

Job Duties
- Ensures total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations such as FDA approved Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP
- Maintains high level of customer service and positive donor experience in line with company values and culture
- Maintains cleanliness of work area to ensure a clean and professional environment
- Stocks and maintains an orderly work area with sufficient supplies to meet production demands
- Maintains Donor Center equipment based on Standard Operating Procedures and applicable manufacturer instructions
- Monitors donor conditions, employing techniques to ensure donor comfort, safety, and the quality of plasma product
- Maintains Donor confidentiality based on company policy
- Maintains complete and accurate record keeping per company’s Standard Operating Procedures
- Troubleshoots machine alarms and alerts and performs routine quality control on equipment
- Cleans blood or plasma spills and properly handles biohazardous waste
- Ensures donor eligibility per Standard Operating Procedures
- Performs donor vitals evaluation and finger stick for Microhematocrit and Total Protein determination
- Registers applicant donors
- Sets up and prepares equipment and disposable supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis
- Disconnects donor after plasmapheresis process and maintains proper safety ratios
- Operates automated plasmapheresis machines and responds to adverse events
- Handles prompt and sterile collection and storage of plasma product and samples
- Organizes samples and products in walk-in storage freezer
- Prepares products and samples for shipment
- Monitors freezer and refrigerator temperatures and records variances
- Performs other job-related tasks as assigned
