Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Three months experience in clerical or customer service preferred
- Certification or licensing based on state requirements
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write English
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to read screening equipment numbers and perform basic math
- Effective communication skills
- Availability to work day, evening, weekend, holiday, and extended shifts
- Attendance and punctuality
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods
- Ability to work in cold environments
- Ability to perform precise motor skills
- Use of personal protective equipment
- Ability to handle blood borne pathogens
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Three months experience in clerical or customer service preferred
- Certification or licensing as required by state
- Basic computer literacy
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret regulations and manuals
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Experience with medical or laboratory equipment is a plus
Job Duties
- Ensures operation compliance with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP regulations
- Maintains high level of customer service and positive donor experience
- Keeps work area clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Maintains and troubleshoots Donor Center equipment
- Monitors donor safety and comfort during plasma collection
- Performs donor eligibility screening and vitals evaluation
- Operates automated plasmapheresis machines and responds to alerts
- Collects and stores plasma products and samples according to procedures
- Handles biohazardous waste disposition
- Maintains complete and accurate records
- Monitors freezer and refrigerator temperatures
- Prepares plasma products and samples for shipment
- Communicates effectively with staff and donors
- Performs other related tasks as assigned
