Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Three months experience in clerical or customer service preferred
  • Certification or licensing based on state requirements
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write English
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to read screening equipment numbers and perform basic math
  • Effective communication skills
  • Availability to work day, evening, weekend, holiday, and extended shifts
  • Attendance and punctuality
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods
  • Ability to work in cold environments
  • Ability to perform precise motor skills
  • Use of personal protective equipment
  • Ability to handle blood borne pathogens

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Three months experience in clerical or customer service preferred
  • Certification or licensing as required by state
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret regulations and manuals
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Experience with medical or laboratory equipment is a plus

Job Duties

  • Ensures operation compliance with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP regulations
  • Maintains high level of customer service and positive donor experience
  • Keeps work area clean, organized, and well-stocked
  • Maintains and troubleshoots Donor Center equipment
  • Monitors donor safety and comfort during plasma collection
  • Performs donor eligibility screening and vitals evaluation
  • Operates automated plasmapheresis machines and responds to alerts
  • Collects and stores plasma products and samples according to procedures
  • Handles biohazardous waste disposition
  • Maintains complete and accurate records
  • Monitors freezer and refrigerator temperatures
  • Prepares plasma products and samples for shipment
  • Communicates effectively with staff and donors
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned
