Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- three months experience in clerical or customer service preferred
- specific certification or licensing based on state requirements
- basic computer knowledge and skills
- ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- strong customer service skills
- strong organizational skills
- ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions and manuals
- ability to understand verbal instruction
- ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations
- effective communication skills
- must be able to work day and evening hours, weekends, holidays and extended shifts frequently
- attendance and punctuality required
- ability to utilize all required PPE at all times
- ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- ability to tug, lift and pull up to 35 pounds
- ability to bend, stoop or kneel
- ability to handle occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens
- ability to view video display terminal less than 18 inches away for up to 4 hours
- ability to work in temperatures of -40C or colder

Job Duties
- Ensures total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations including FDA approved Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP
- maintains high level of customer service and positive donor experience in line with company values and culture
- maintains cleanliness of work area and stocks supplies to meet production demands
- maintains Donor Center equipment based on Standard Operating Procedures and manufacturer instructions
- monitors donor conditions to ensure donor comfort, safety, and product quality
- maintains donor confidentiality according to company policy
- maintains accurate record keeping per Standard Operating Procedures
- troubleshoots machine alarms and performs routine quality control on equipment
- cleans blood or plasma spills and disposes of biohazardous waste properly
- performs donor eligibility screening including vitals evaluation, finger stick tests, and donor registration
- sets up equipment and supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis
- operates automated plasmapheresis machines including response to alarms and adverse events
- collects and stores plasma product and samples per standards
- handles tested, untested, and unsuitable products appropriately
- organizes samples in storage freezers
- prepares product samples for shipment following federal regulations
- monitors freezer and refrigerator temperatures and reports malfunctions
- performs other job-related tasks as assigned
