Job Requirements
- At least six months related experience including forklift certification and use of forklift in warehouse or similar setting
- Must be forklift certified
- Must pass background check including drug and alcohol test including screening for THC
- Ability to frequently lift, bend, twist and carry heavy objects
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Able to work full time

Job Qualifications
- At least six months related experience including forklift certification and use of forklift in warehouse or similar setting
- Must be forklift certified
- Able to provide excellent customer service
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Perform opening duties of workstation by assessing donation area to ensure it is clean, work areas are safe, and equipment is working properly
- Responsible for reporting any necessary maintenance issues related to facilities or equipment as soon as possible
- Accept donations from the public, transferring items to the appropriate tote, cart, or basket according to GILSCC requirements
- Separate donations by type, not quality
- Represent the company by providing exemplary customer service
- Assist donors if needed in unloading donations in a timely and courteous manner
- Accurately tally each donation on sheet immediately after it is made
- Transport stock to/from workstation to other areas
- Maintain the donation center in a clean and orderly fashion
- Efficiently and safely load and unload trucks and trailers at the warehouse using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Safely operate, regularly clean and help maintain the forklift
- Prepare records and reports as requested
- Ensure that donations are secured indoors when leaving the site
- Identify and properly dispose of garbage
- Identify and process recyclable material as appropriate
- Empty garbage and recycling bins
- Retrieve and collect shopping carts and baskets as necessary
- Notify immediate supervisor of any problems or unusual situations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist in other areas of the agency as needed to meet the need of the business
