Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in operations or program coordination
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management
  • Ability to travel weekly to Manchester, NH and other locations as needed
  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with nonprofit or human services operations preferred
  • Knowledge of vehicle donation programs or automotive industry a plus

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily donated vehicle operations in Worcester, MA and assigned locations, ensuring donations are processed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with program policies
  • Provide operational support for the launch, pilot, and scale of Good News Garage’s Jump Start car placement pilot
  • Coordinate vehicle intake, transport, repair, processing, and distribution with program leadership, garage staff, vendors, and external partners
  • Ensure consistent application of Donated Wheels procedures and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and quality
  • Support coordination with towing companies, volunteer drivers, contract garages, auction houses, and other vendors
  • Provide direct supervision, training, scheduling, and guidance to Donated Vehicle Processors and Administrative Assistants
  • Monitor workloads and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and service expectations
  • Serve as first point of escalation for operational issues, staff questions, and donor or recipient concerns
  • Manage office supplies and coordinate with leadership for timely replenishment and maintenance of equipment
  • Support onboarding and cross-training for coverage and operational continuity
  • Deliver high-quality customer service in all donor and recipient interactions
  • Assist in managing donor communications, inquiries, and follow-up
  • Represent Good News Garage at community events and donor engagements
  • Lead implementation of operating model and SOPs in Massachusetts expansion
  • Oversee completion of paperwork, electronic records, and filing related to vehicle donations and awards
  • Input and manage accounts payable invoices and collaborate with finance team for billing
  • Review and support operational and financial reporting
  • Track performance metrics, donation flow, and operational outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality, data management, policies, and safety requirements
  • Work closely with Program Manager to identify challenges, recommend improvements, and support goals
  • Assist with vehicle acceptance decisions
  • Serve as operational backup to Program Manager
  • Participate in organizational committees and initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program objectives
