Job Requirements
- No specific amount of formal education is required
- Thirty months of experience equivalent to a Domestic Services Aide including one year equivalent to a Domestic Services Aide E6
- Must be subject to pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and/or alcohol testing
- Successful completion of a background investigation and criminal record check
- Ability to work at the physical location in Westland, MI
- Must apply online via NEOGOV and submit a resume and official transcripts
- Use of artificial intelligence software in the selection process is prohibited
Job Qualifications
- Thirty months of experience equivalent to a Domestic Services Aide including one year equivalent to a Domestic Services Aide E6 in food service, housekeeping, clothing, or laundry
- Ability to supervise and train staff
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and inventory
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations
- Effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Oversee the work of other Domestic Service Aides and inspect work
- Provide instruction and training to staff
- Purchase supplies through contract vendors or local vendors with procurement cards
- Perform various housekeeping services to maintain a safe, clean, neat, and sanitary environment
- Manage patient clothing room duties including sewing, mending, washing, drying, folding, sorting, labeling, inventorying, and record-keeping
- Maintain a clean and organized patient clothing room
- Handle clean linen room tasks such as pickup and delivery of linen carts, unloading and loading linen, sorting, placing ties on hamper bags, stamping linen, and inventorying linen supplies
