Job Requirements

  • High school or GED
  • minimum of 1 year customer service or tracking experience in a freight forwarding environment
  • ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • strong communication skills
  • proficiency with MS Office
  • ability to provide detailed and accurate shipment updates
  • ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • capability to foster professional relationships

Job Qualifications

  • High school or GED required
  • associates degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred
  • minimum of 1 year customer service or tracking experience in a freight forwarding environment
  • prior experience with AS400 is a plus
  • knowledge of U.S. geography and airport codes is a plus
  • basic to intermediate PC skills including MS Office
  • ability to prioritize and manage time and tasks effectively
  • detail oriented

Job Duties

  • Track and trace shipments to ensure proper movement and delivery
  • update shipments with current shipment status including comprehensive notes
  • communicate daily with AIT field offices and agent/carrier networks to ensure on-time performance
  • troubleshoot and resolve service disruptions
  • maintain familiarity with special service conditions and ensure accurate data entry of associated costs
  • answer departmental phone lines and emails
  • cultivate and foster trusting relationships with AIT agent/carrier networks
