Job Duties
- Quoting shipments and tracking domestic freight moving via air and ground daily
- routing freight shipments across multiple transportation modes based on client requests
- proactively communicating with clients regarding status of freight
- coordinating with vendors and suppliers about shipment dispatch, routing, and rates
- assisting local sales and domestic offices with air and ground freight issues
- managing daily on-time performance, defect codes, carrier re-weights, and rating accuracy
- compiling customer-specific key performance indicator reports
- ensuring accuracy in paperwork, labeling, and scanning
- processing monthly inventory
- handling shipments with special requirements such as high-value or time-sensitive consignments
