- Professional grooming experience is required
- Displays a professional manner at all times
- Ability to work under pressure while still following proper procedure
- Time management skills, patience, and a positive attitude
- Ability to operate a phone, computer and learn facility software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with animal behavior, body posture and hair textures
- Must be a pet fanatic
- Bathing requires sitting, standing, walking, and lifting more than 50 lbs
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant and sanitation chemicals, animal hair and fecal matter, hot and cold temperatures and getting wet

Job Duties
- Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners' instructions or standard grooming styles
- Trimming pets' nails, brushing their teeth, and cleaning their ears
- Accommodating special requests that pet owners may have
- Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process
- Routinely cleaning work areas
- Recommending suitable products to pet owners
- Answering any questions clients may have with a friendly attitude
- Keeping the receptionist informed about pets that are ready for pick-up
- Supporting Mission, Vision, and Values of Destination Pet
