Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must possess hobby or technical related experience
- At least 2 years aerospace or military experience required
- Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical work
- Must be able to access confined spaces and work in enclosed environments
- Must pass medical and respiratory evaluation
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret DoD clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Hobby or technical experience in mechanical, sheet metal, composites, body work, electrical, or other dexterous activities
- 2 years of related aerospace or military experience
- Ability to perform moderate physical labor including bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead
- Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret DoD clearance
- Preferred experience with E-2D structural subassemblies
- Experience on aerospace manufacturing new production line
- Completion of A&P certificate or AFAB program
Job Duties
- Read and understand blueprints
- Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies including precision drilling, countersinking, and use of calibrated tools
- Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
- Perform part-fitting operations including filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling and reaming
- Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions
- Modify assemblies to incorporate changes and verify quality compliance
- Obtain and maintain certifications for half and full face respirators
