Job Requirements

  • previous experience in a warehouse or dock worker role preferred
  • ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • physical strength and stamina to handle manual labor demands including lifting heavy freight
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to follow safety guidelines
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment and occasionally lift heavy objects

Job Duties

  • safely and efficiently load and unload freight from trucks and other transportation vehicles using forklifts and pallet jacks
  • organize and sort incoming and outgoing freight based on destination and shipping method
  • accurately record and maintain shipment documentation including quantity and weight
  • adhere to all safety protocols and report hazards or incidents immediately
  • operate material handling equipment safely and conduct routine maintenance checks
  • collaborate with truck drivers, warehouse staff, and team members for timely freight movement
  • inspect freight for damage or discrepancies and report issues for proper handling
