Job Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of related experience
  • Boat handling experience and knowledge of nautical terminology
  • CPR and or lifeguard training a plus
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Flexibility to work holidays and weekends
  • Strong attention to safety and detail

  • Boat handling experience and knowledge of nautical terminology
  • CPR and or lifeguard training a plus
  • Experience managing staff and coordinating dock operations
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adhere to safety and sustainability protocols
  • Knowledge of billing and inventory management systems

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates ensuring they perform according to brand standards and HHM core values
  • Direct, move, assist, and securely moor vessels to dock
  • Facilitate and assist in coordinating arrival and departure of vessels
  • Monitor and coordinate docking
  • Control traffic along waterway
  • Watch for and alert people of dangerous situations such as wakes and commercial traffic
  • Meet daily with staff to facilitate day's activities
  • Maintain updated knowledge of nautical products, industry trends, and methods
  • Work with offshore and backcountry charter boat captains on slip rental, billing, or maintenance issues
  • Maintain accurate records related to billing, inventory, work orders, and hours worked
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices per HHM's EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits including wearing protective safety equipment and following MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
