Job Duties

  • Preparing ingredients including washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients according to recipes and chefs' instructions
  • Executing cooking and plating recipes under the supervision of senior cooks, ensuring consistency with restaurant standards and presentation guidelines
  • Maintaining workstation and cleaning including keeping the workstation clean, organized, and stocked throughout service and cleaning the food truck after service including filtering fryers and unloading dirty dishes
  • Station set up by contributing to daily mise en place such as preparing sauces, dressings, and other essential ingredients
  • Ensuring food safety by following all food handling, sanitation, storage and rotation protocols
  • Handling equipment properly including knives, ovens, blender, and other kitchen tools to ensure efficiency and safety
  • Organizing food deliveries by putting away new products into coolers and maintaining proper food rotation
