Job Requirements
- Completion of four years of high school or equivalent
- Ability to pass IDOC/IDJJ background check
- Ability to pass drug screen
- Compliance with all vaccine and medical standards
- Ability to use digital technology and platforms for job-related tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of housekeeping methods, materials, and equipment used in institutional settings
- Experience using both electric and manual cleaning tools
- Ability to handle individuals in custody or similar populations with patience and firmness
- Experience writing and submitting reports or inventory records
- Familiarity with cleaning biohazard materials and blood borne pathogens
- Experience assisting with distribution of hygiene items
- Ability to work under physically demanding conditions such as high security environments
Job Duties
- Perform housekeeping duties on assigned living areas including all offices, lobbies, bathrooms, showers, activity/training rooms, break areas, hallways, auditorium, and conference rooms
- Perform housekeeping duties for the Administration building
- Clean woodwork, toilets, washrooms, fixtures, ceilings and vents
- Maintain stocks of supplies and notify supervisor when supplies become low
- Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
