Job Requirements

  • ability to pass IDOC/IDJJ background check
  • ability to pass a drug screen
  • required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes
  • must abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards set by employer
  • knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school
  • physical ability to perform housekeeping duties in a secure and physically demanding environment
  • willingness to work 6am-2pm Wednesday through Sunday

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school
  • experience with methods, materials, and equipment used in institutional housekeeping preferred
  • experience preparing requisitions and work orders preferred
  • experience using both electric and manual cleaning tools preferred
  • experience working under physically demanding conditions preferred
  • experience handling individuals in custody or patients with patience and firmness preferred
  • experience writing and submitting reports, inventory records, or paperwork preferred
  • experience cleaning up spills and contaminants including biohazards preferred
  • experience assisting with distribution of hygiene items preferred

Job Duties

  • perform housekeeping duties on assigned living areas including all offices, lobbies, bathrooms, showers, activity/training rooms, break areas, hallways, auditorium, and conference rooms
  • perform housekeeping duties for the administration building
  • clean woodwork, toilets, washrooms, fixtures, ceilings and vents
  • maintain stocks of supplies and notify supervisor when supplies become low
  • perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
