Job Requirements
- Completion of four years of high school education
- Two years of relevant food preparation experience
- Current Food Service Sanitation Certificate or Certified Food Protection Manager certification
- Ability to pass IDOC/IDJJ background check
- Ability to pass drug screening
- Completion of orientation-training within six months of employment
- Adherence to vaccination and medical standards set by the employer
- Willingness to utilize digital technology for departmental processes
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in food preparation in a large-scale food operation
- Possession of a current Food Service Sanitation Certificate or Certified Food Protection Manager certification
- Experience in supervising and managing food service staff
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Experience in inventory management and recordkeeping
- Knowledge of professional accounting, auditing, or inventory procedures preferred
- Experience with SAP platform preferred
Job Duties
- Monitor individuals in custody during food preparation and serving
- Monitor individuals in custody during clean-up and sanitation procedures for kitchen and equipment
- Inspect food to ensure proper preparation in compliance with recipes and menus
- Maintain inventory and records of food items and their expiration dates
- Monitor daily activities of individuals in custody to ensure proper issuance and accounting of supplies and tools
- Perform other related duties within the scope of the position
