Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
  • minimum of five years of foodservice sales experience
  • minimum of two years supervisory experience
  • valid driver's license
  • no DUI conviction for drug or alcohol within the last three years
  • proficient computer skills
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
  • ability to travel overnight as required

Job Duties

  • Lead a group of Territory Managers to achieve division sales, penetration and churn reduction objectives
  • research, develop and maintain long and short range sales plans
  • coach and develop Territory Managers in creating effective action plans to achieve AOP and company goals
  • direct Territory Managers toward high quality leads and assist in warming leads and closing
  • work with Territory Managers to open new accounts and reduce churn
  • submit and administer annual street sales operating plan and operating budget
  • review and approve street sales-related expenses, credits, donations, and contracts
  • track performance against plan and identify gap closures
  • leverage Sales Coordinator role to reduce administrative tasks and resolve TM and customer issues
  • assist in leveraging multiple specialized roles to grow account penetration and new accounts
  • assist in coordinating product cuttings and demonstrations
  • develop sales and marketing strategies and proposals for customers
  • conduct market research to determine customer needs
  • communicate sales data to contribute to product/service planning
  • assist in planning district sales meetings and events
  • understand and utilize Sales Foundations tools and processes
  • coach, train and direct Territory Managers to top account penetration and quality lead acquisition
  • recruit, train and mentor new hires and existing staff
  • oversee and assess TM performance
  • maintain knowledge of industry trends and product developments
  • research and develop lists of potential customers and make targeted sales calls
  • conduct periodic Customer Business Reviews
  • assist in customer/delivery alignment and driver engagement
  • oversee communication and execution of company policies within sales department
  • ensure sales organization is appropriately staffed
  • perform other duties as assigned
