Job Requirements
- Willingness to work event-based hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Bachelor's degree preferred in related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years food safety and/or occupational experience
- Ability to become Certified ServSafe trainer or obtain certification within 6 months
- Strong communication skills
- Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to coach, influence and negotiate
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be active during events
- Previous management or training experience
- Experience in occupational, food, or culinary safety in high-volume venues preferred
- Legal ability to travel within U.S. and Canada
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety and Health, Business Administration, Public Health, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of food safety and/or occupational safety experience
- Certified ServSafe trainer preferred or ability to obtain certification within first 6 months
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Strong coaching, influencing, and negotiating skills
- Experience providing training and coaching to management and hourly employees
- Ability to assess food and occupational safety needs and assist in operational solutions
- Previous management or training experience
- Experience in high-volume venue or regulatory health/food safety departments preferred
- Ability to legally travel within the U.S. and Canada
- Comfortable with lifting up to 50 pounds and physical demands of large venues
- Flexibility to work event-based hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Oversee food and occupational safety operations across multiple venues including U.S. Bank Stadium, University of Minnesota, University of Iowa, and Xtream Arena
- May be required to travel to additional locations across the U.S. and Canada to support safety initiatives, conduct assessments, and collaborate with local teams
- Help coach and lead staff in accordance with facility and Aramark standards
- Work closely with Aramark Safety and Risk Control, District Manager, General Managers, and Clients to review, implement and enforce Aramark's SAFE Commitment
- Assist site-based management teams to effectively execute safety standards and requirements
- Assure highest levels of guest service and quality control at all supported events
- Maintain working relationships with local and regional compliance and regulatory authorities
- Coordinate and support district safety meetings and committee structures
- Conduct internal work safety and food safety assessments and follow-up with corrective actions as needed
- Work as a leader to provide high quality guest experience
- Ensure the current Aramark safety standards and procedure documentation are in place and followed
- Verify implementation and execution of safety standards and procedures
- Accompany public health or regulatory inspectors during inspections and respond to non-compliance issues to mitigate future violations
- Manage corrective action processes to comply with regulatory requirements and improve safety systems
