North Monterey County Unified School District (NMCUSD) is an established and community-centered educational institution that administers education services to over 4,400 students ranging from preschool through adult education. Job Qualifications
- experience in culinary arts or nutrition
- knowledge of nutrition standards and regulations
- ability to develop and innovate scratch-cooked recipes
- leadership and teamwork skills
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- passion for equity and student wellness
- familiarity with school food service operations
Job Duties
- develop, plan, and execute menus and recipes that meet nutritional standards
- collaborate with Nutrition Services Supervisor II to implement scratch-cooked recipes across all school sites
- participate as a leader in the Nutrition Services leadership team
- develop and lead pilot programs to advance department mission and goals
- ensure menu compliance with district and federal nutritional guidelines
- analyze and modify recipes to improve nutrition and appeal
- coordinate with school staff and stakeholders to incorporate feedback on meal services
