Job Requirements
- Must hold a commercial driver's license or chauffeur's license appropriate for the vehicle weight
- must pass background and drug tests as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation
- must pass DOT physical examination
- must be at least 21 years old
- able to sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab
- able to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- able to travel frequently
- may be required to be clean shaven
- must pass a 10 panel drug screen
- able to work Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and occasional weekend on-call
- able to operate heavy equipment and trucks safely and in compliance with traffic laws
- able to maintain paperwork and documentation accurately
Job Qualifications
- Must hold a commercial driver's license (CDL) or chauffeur's license appropriate for the vehicle's weight
- must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation
- must pass DOT physical as trucks driven weigh over 10,000 pounds
- must be at least 21 years old
- strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- ability to remain focused in a busy environment
Job Duties
- Operates vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
- transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
- deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas
- assists with loading of or loads and unloads goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted
- maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork
- facilitates routine service on trucks, including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air and reporting maintenance malfunctions
- arranges trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
- performs other related duties as assigned
