Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of experience in a warehouse or material handling role
- Ability to lift and move frequently up to 50 pounds, occasionally over 100 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance
- Ability to use hands and arms to handle materials
- Adherence to safety and food safety procedures
- Willingness to work 1st shift Monday to Friday with possible variations
- Ability to operate manual and power equipment
- Ability to use RF scanning and voice picking equipment
- Ability to report injuries and equipment defects
- Ability to maintain clean and organized work area
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of relevant experience in warehouse or distribution environment
- Ability to operate manual and power material handling equipment
- Experience with RF scanning and voice picking technology preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols
- Basic computer literacy
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Job Duties
- Accurately loads and unloads trailers of palletized and non-palletized product and POS material
- Utilizes manual and power material handling equipment
- Sorts and places products or POS materials on racks or shelves according to predetermined designated locations
- Accurately assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets, wraps pallets with stretch film and prepares for shipping
- Marks/labels incoming and outgoing products with identifying information
- Verifies amounts of product/POS materials received
- Uses technology (RF scanning and voice picking equipment) during local checkout process
- Operates material handling equipment to transport stored items within the warehouse
- Prepares and organizes warehouse for daily cycle count inventory and shopping activities
- Completes daily maintenance power equipment checklist and reports defective equipment
- Practices and adheres to safety, food safety and hygiene guidelines
- Keeps work area clean and removes trash
- Stores supplies in designated areas and keeps aisles/exits clear
- Follows instructions for safe lifting/carrying, reports job-related injuries/property damage
- Supports and participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives including 5S
- May perform other duties as required
