Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- basic ability in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and arithmetic
- knowledge of receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials
- ability to operate truck, forklift, pallet jack, and power sweeping machine
- knowledge of delivery and pick-up routes
- understanding of safety regulations protecting truck, food, and equipment
- physical ability to fulfill essential functions
- ability to read and carry out instructions
- legible writing and printing skills
- occasional supervision and training of student workers or staff
- commitment to task completion
- accurate recording and transfer of information, materials, and money
- adherence to district drug-free workplace policy

Job Duties
- Loads supplies on transport carts as necessary
- delivers food, equipment, mail, and supplies to the correct district centers and schools
- loads specially designed containers of food for delivery in a truck equipped for this purpose
- adheres to a schedule to ensure timely food delivery
- picks up, sorts, and delivers incoming and outgoing district mail
- responsible for pick and delivery of large amounts of money to the bank daily
- represents Bend-La Pine School district in a positive, professional manner focusing on customer service
- assures consistent and timely delivery of mail and supplies
- assists the Distribution Manager in receiving, storing, and distributing products
- unloads trucks and delivery vehicles manually or with equipment
- assists in cleaning the Distribution Center
- organizes mail and deliveries to achieve maximum savings and service
- transports commodities between schools and central kitchen
- assures the return and cleanliness of food transport containers
- cares for and maintains the transport truck
- reports maintenance needs
- installs and removes tire chains as needed
- follows health, safety, and sanitation rules
- cares for transport carts to prevent damage or spillage
- fulfills other related duties as assigned
- meets performance standards in evaluations
- fulfills working conditions and physical effort required
