Job Requirements

  • Educational attainment equivalent to high school education
  • Considerable inventory management and warehousing experience including work in a lead capacity
  • Knowledge of inventory control, ordering, stock rotation, and product storage methods
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and techniques
  • Communication skills
  • Knowledge of Regional Distribution Center administration practices
  • Knowledge of safety and security practices
  • Knowledge of tinting, shaking, and forklift equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to operate forklift, reach truck, rider jack, wrapper machine, order picker, computer, and tint machine

Job Duties

  • Ensure daily warehouse functions are done safely and productively to enable shipping to the customer on time
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are followed, and productivity standards are met
  • Supervise the work of warehouse employees
  • Train warehouse personnel on all appropriate SOPs and initiate/manage corrective actions
  • Maintain and ensure accurate timekeeping system and attendance tracking
  • Develop team members using development plans and goal setting
  • Interview candidates using approved recruiting SOP
  • Participate in 100% Behavior Based Safety (BBS) program and perform daily BBS review
  • Conduct daily inspections, equipment checklists, and sign-offs of hazardous waste storage areas
  • Observe and correct safety and security violations and enforce Regional Distribution Center SOPs
  • Lead daily Stretch and Flex program and shift meetings
  • Ensure housekeeping and warehouse cleanliness are maintained
  • Follow opening and closing procedures
  • Communicate all incidents to safety management and relevant departments
  • Assist with physical inventory preparation and utilize cycle counting process
  • Complete inventory cycle counts as scheduled and address variances
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Assign, train, and supervise daily work activities of warehouse staff
  • Monitor daily work and drive productivity to standards with coaching and corrective actions
  • Use email, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Workday, and SAP proficiently
  • Maintain communication with sales, traffic, and planning teams regarding shift issues
  • Identify and report equipment needing repair and support automation
  • Manage ad hoc project assignments as needed
