Job Requirements

  • General working knowledge of warehousing or relevant experience
  • forklift experience required
  • full-time availability during the 1st shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed
  • ability to wear safety attire and protective gear daily
  • ability to work in a non-temperature controlled environment
  • capacity to tolerate loud sounds and distracting noise levels
  • exposure to hazardous equipment on a weekly basis
  • able to share workspace with others
  • physical capability to perform general warehouse tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in distribution operations, with at least 1 year in a lead or equivalent role
  • strong reading, writing, and communication skills
  • proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning warehouse systems quickly
  • experience with customer-facing communication, shipping processes, and transportation coordination
  • continuous improvement or Lean experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Serve as a primary operational contact for customer service regarding order status, discrepancies, and issue resolution
  • review and validate customer orders, identify discrepancies, and coordinate necessary corrections
  • ensure all timelines for order fulfillment, samples, and customer requests are met
  • prepare shipping documentation including packing slips, bills of lading, international paperwork, and shipping labels
  • coordinate daily pickups with carriers, freight forwarders, and parcel partners
  • record and track lot numbers and delivery information accurately in the system
  • inspect outbound trailers and notify leadership of any quality or compliance issues
  • support outbound traffic across all channels, including truckload, LTL, UPS/FedEx, and specialized customer requirements
  • perform general warehouse tasks including receiving, cycle counts, parcel packing, workstation setup, and housekeeping
  • support workflow management on the floor, including preparation for huddles, daily planning, and coordination with supervisors
  • assist with training team members on standard work, packing expectations, workstation layouts, and system processes
  • complete computer-based data entry for shipping, inventory, planning, and KPI inputs
  • organize clerical documents including weigh tickets, correspondence, and shipping files
  • support administrative tasks related to SQDC updates, process charting, and daily management routines
  • participate in 5S, Kaizen events, problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • maintain accurate and current standard work documents and support SOP/work instruction updates
  • support Charlotte’s safety program through participation in audits, hazard mapping, and corrective actions
  • maintain a clean and safe work area and proactively report or correct unsafe conditions
