Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- five years of related experience
- three years of experience scheduling airplane, helicopter, or UAS flights
- prior experience using aviation monitoring and tracking technology
- knowledge of FAA regulations
- ability to coordinate emergency and crisis situations
- proficiency with aviation scheduling systems
- strong organizational and communication skills
- basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
Job Qualifications

- federal aviation administration (FAA) dispatcher certificate (desired)
- six years of related experience including four years scheduling airplane, helicopter, or UAS flights (desired)
- prior experience with aviation monitoring and tracking technology
- ability to coordinate and manage emergency and crisis situations
- knowledge of FAA regulations
- proficiency with aviation scheduling systems and applications
- knowledge of time reporting and project management
- strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- excellent organizational skills
- effective oral and written communication skills
- basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
Job Duties
- Schedules and manages airplane, helicopter, and UAS flights using electronic platforms
- revises and cancels flights based on weather, customer, coworker, and regulatory input
- collaborates with external vendors to ensure resource availability and addresses escalated issues
- notifies personnel of potential delays or cancellations
- verifies completion of aviation work and manages associated contract invoices and accounting
- participates actively in the department's safety management system
- provides clerical and administrative support to department managers, including data management and reporting
- rotates on-call for emergency and storm response situations
- trains, guides, and instructs lower-level aircraft schedulers
