Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess or obtain valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement and removal of Air Brake Restriction within 90 days of hire
- Maintain valid US DOT Medical Examiners Certificate
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to use Word, Excel, and dispatching software preferred
- Previous dispatching experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school grad/GE degree
- 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possess or obtain valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement and removal of Air Brake Restriction within 90 days of hire
- Maintain and possess valid US DOT Medical Examiners Certificate
- Previous dispatching experience preferred
- Experience with Word, Excel, and dispatching software preferred
- Strong customer service experience required
Job Duties
- Receive and dispatch requests for vehicular escorts during evening and late-night service hours
- Coordinate the efforts of the vehicular Shuttle Service with other transit services through dynamic resource allocation including people and vehicles
- Provide accurate information and courteous assistance regarding Penn Transit Services regulations, policies, and procedures
- Maintain statistical data on the usage of services on a daily basis
- Ensure that the daily data capture is properly completed at the end of each shift
- Responsible for radio equipment, its proper use, care, and secure storage in the central dispatch location at shift end
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
