Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalency required
- associate degree or equivalent preferred
- 0-3 years in freight forwarding or customer service/operations industry experience preferred
- proficient in Microsoft Office
- previous experience working with AS400 preferred
- strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills
- high attention to detail and organization
- strong geographic and mapping skills
- great interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties
- Responsible for routing local freight
- dispatching drivers
- performing dock checks
- tracking shipments
- working with dock staff members to ensure movement of freight
- timely event data entry of shipment milestones into MyAIT and AS400 tracking system including pickup, delivery, obtain proof of delivery
- provide customer service to identify and meet specific customer needs
- answer and make customer inquiry calls and address customer concerns and complaints
- assign driver load planning based on local mapping and appointments accordingly
- identifying and coordinating the prioritization of rushed urgent last minute shipments
- other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary
