Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to multitask and be detail oriented
- Ability to handle high stress calmly and effectively
- Strong communication skills including radio operation
- Proficiency in computer data entry
- Ability to read and interpret maps and computer screen information
- Willingness to work varied 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Capacity to sit for extended periods
- Ability to maintain security and confidentiality of information
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge or training in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) principles and techniques is helpful but not required
- Strong multitasking and detail orientation skills
- Ability to work effectively under high-stress and fast-paced conditions
- Proficiency with computer-aided dispatch software and radio communications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in difficult situations
Job Duties
- Receive and coordinate requests for air and ground medical transport
- Dispatch appropriate aircraft and flight teams
- Communicate effectively with referring and accepting hospitals and agencies
- Flight follow aircraft using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) software
- Read maps and provide accurate location information
- Perform data entry and document transmission details
- Maintain security and confidentiality of sensitive information
