Job Duties

  • Receive and prioritize incoming dispatch requests
  • Efficiently dispatch units to emergency and non-emergency calls
  • Make accurate moment-to-moment decisions regarding emergency and non-emergency vehicle dispatch
  • Triage incoming requests and send appropriate units per company policy
  • Obtain required information from callers requesting medical transport
  • Maintain telecommunication contact with field units and other agencies
  • Use and troubleshoot dispatch communication equipment
  • Participate in training programs
  • Perform basic data entry
  • Provide excellent customer service to callers and crew members
