Job Duties
- Receive and prioritize incoming dispatch requests
- Efficiently dispatch units to emergency and non-emergency calls
- Make accurate moment-to-moment decisions regarding emergency and non-emergency vehicle dispatch
- Triage incoming requests and send appropriate units per company policy
- Obtain required information from callers requesting medical transport
- Maintain telecommunication contact with field units and other agencies
- Use and troubleshoot dispatch communication equipment
- Participate in training programs
- Perform basic data entry
- Provide excellent customer service to callers and crew members
