Job Requirements
- FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate required
- extensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, aeronautical charts, aviation weather, aircraft performance, and flight planning
- minimum of two years dispatch experience preferred
- strong analytical and communication skills
- ability to multitask
- high attention to detail
- ability to work independently
- familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office
- experience with Sabre or Jeppesen Flight Planning preferred
- experience with Flight Explorer Aircraft Situation Display preferred
- experience with Arinc SELCAL System preferred
Job Qualifications
- FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate required, extensive familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations, aeronautical charts, aviation weather, aircraft performance and flight planning, minimum of two years dispatch experience preferred, strong analytical skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, high attention to detail, ability to multitask, ability to work unsupervised, familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office applications, Sabre or Jeppesen Flight Planning experience preferred, Flight Explorer Aircraft Situation Display experience preferred, Arinc SELCAL System experience preferred
Job Duties
- Prepares dispatch release, plans flights considering enroute winds and weather, determines minimum fuel supply for safe flight completion, calculates aircraft performance and monitors weather conditions, provides preflight briefing to pilot in command, monitors progress of each flight, issues necessary information for flight safety, cancels or re-dispatches flights when necessary, recommends flight plan alternatives, coordinates aircraft diversions and recoveries, negotiates with air traffic control for alternative routings and delay reductions, initiates company emergency notifications
