Job Requirements

  • FAA aircraft dispatcher certificate
  • minimum of two years dispatch experience preferred
  • understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations
  • ability to analyze meteorological conditions
  • strong communication skills
  • capability to multitask and work independently
  • familiarity with computer applications
  • preferred knowledge of Sabre or Jeppesen flight planning
  • preferred knowledge of Flight Explorer and Arinc SELCAL System
  • able to perform light physical effort handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally

  • extensive familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations
  • knowledge of aeronautical charts
  • understanding of aviation weather
  • experience with aircraft performance and flight planning
  • strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • high attention to detail
  • ability to multitask and work independently
  • familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office
  • preferred experience with Sabre or Jeppesen flight planning software
  • preferred experience with Flight Explorer Aircraft Situation Display
  • preferred experience with Arinc SELCAL System

Job Duties

  • Prepares dispatch release, plans flights considering weather effects, determines minimum fuel supply, calculates aircraft performance, provides preflight briefing, monitors flight progress, issues safety information, cancels or re-dispatches flights as necessary, recommends flight plan alternatives, coordinates aircraft diversions and recoveries, negotiates with air traffic control, initiates company emergency notification, coordinates company charter operations, updates familiarity with aviation regulations and charts, provides operations expertise to maintenance and control departments, monitors and processes flight data, archives dispatch releases and flight plans, performs other duties as assigned
