Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  • minimum one to two full years of prior experience in a related position
  • California Food Handlers Certificate required
  • must be able to work the assigned schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to communicate in English
  • ability to lift and/or move objects 20-35 lbs, occasionally more with team assistance
  • ability to navigate a large campus with indoor and outdoor work areas
  • maintain confidentiality
  • flexible schedule required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  • minimum one to two full years of prior experience in a related position
  • experience in a resort hotel preferred
  • California Food Handlers Certificate required
  • first aid, CPR and defibrillator certifications preferred
  • commitment to quality and exceptional customer service
  • ability to communicate in English
  • work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Washes pots and pans following guidelines
  • maintains a clean work environment in pot washer area
  • keeps kitchen area, floors, walls, and equipment clean
  • cleans walk-in coolers
  • handles food and beverage deliveries and restocks food products according to first in/first out guidelines
  • helps with basic food preparation when all other work is done
  • coordinates with Executive Chef/Sous Chef/Supervisor work priorities and provides assistance
