Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of general kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work every other weekend, holidays and varied hours
- Ability to perform medium physical work including frequent stooping, walking, kneeling, standing, grasping, repetitive motion, and reaching
- Successful completion of pre-employment demands test
- Ability to speak and hear effectively to communicate with patients, visitors and staff
- Compliance with required employee health programs including screenings and vaccinations
Job Qualifications

- Ability to work with and serve various age groups
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Job Duties
- Clean and wash dishes by hand or machine, trays, silverware and pots and pans for morning and lunch meals
- Deliver food trays to infirmary
- Ensure sanitation of kitchen work area by cleaning and washing machines, mopping floors, taking garbage to dumpster
- Plan daily work schedule of routine cleaning duties
- Uphold professional working relationships by adhering to department rules and practicing teamwork
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Comply with UNC Health Care employee standards including communication, collaboration, service, safety, accountability and improvement
