Job Duties

  • Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or use dishwashing machine ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation
  • Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth depending on equipment and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures including use of cut gloves when handling knives
  • Maintain and track temperatures and chemical levels and report deviations timely
  • Clean and maintain dish area and kitchen floors according to safety and sanitation standards
  • Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and food prep surfaces as assigned
  • Segregate and remove trash, steam clean or hose garbage cans
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas following safe lifting standards
  • Assist with loading or unloading supplies and products as needed
  • Perform other assigned duties
