Job Requirements

  • Approved food handler's card prior to first day of work
  • Non-slip shoes prior to first day of work
  • Weekday availability only with no nights, weekends, or holidays
  • Ability to stand for 100% of the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety rules
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work dynamically and switch between locations and duties
  • Inclusive mindset to work with a diverse workforce

Job Qualifications

  • One year of experience in customer service or high volume food service
  • One year of dishwasher experience preferred
  • Ability to take direction and work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Clear communication and attentive listening skills
  • Ability to read and write
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain high standards of conduct and confidentiality

Job Duties

  • Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment in a timely manner
  • Assist with cleaning, stocking, and lifting items in other kitchen areas as requested
  • Ensure dishes are restocked accordingly
  • Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized
  • Step in as line servers when the caffe is busy
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested by a Manager
