Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior kitchen or food service experience preferred
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • good communication skills
  • willingness to follow standard operating procedures and hygiene protocols
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Past experiences working as a cook, chef, or in a similar role within a high-volume production kitchen or food service environment preferred
  • fluency in English and Spanish is a plus
  • ability to lift items over 30 lbs

Job Duties

  • Support the kitchen manager in daily operations
  • operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • prepare ingredients to use in cooking such as kneading dough, making fillings, and handling raw materials
  • follow standard procedure (SOP) to prepare and cook food
  • ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
  • clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, appliances and workstations
  • follow standard recipes and special diet orders
  • adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
  • fast-paced dish cleaning
