Job Duties

Performs overall cleaning and sanitation of the department
performs daily check of scheduled cleaning list and ensures areas and/or items are cleaned as specified
may perform other cleaning duties in the dining room or kitchen as assigned
performs weekly drain cleaner treatment for all drains
ensures all deliveries for dining services department are stored in the appropriate area in a timely manner using first in/first out method
ensures safe and sanitary processing of soiled dishes, silverware, glassware, and other related items through dishwashing system
sets up dishwashing area including filling the machine, turning on heaters, filling equipment with proper cleaning compounds and rinse agents, and arranging racks
scrapes, racks and pre-rinses all dishes and silverware according to established procedures
cleans dish machine including tanks, catch trays and outside surfaces
re-stocks all service ware in proper designated places
refills dish machine for next meal
cleans all counters around dish machine area
cleans all carts and pours water into glasses for next shift
empties trash to designated areas and cleans garbage cans on regular basis
performs all other duties as assigned
