Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in dishwashing or kitchen sanitation helpful
- Ability to operate commercial dishwashing machines
- Strong attention to detail
- Understanding of sanitation and safety procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks promptly
- Basic reading skills for understanding chemical labels and safety instructions
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean kitchen, properly wash and sort soiled dishes, and prep food as needed
- Set up dish stations including dish machines and sinks
- Maintain clean and dry floors throughout scheduled shift
- Properly wash, stack and store china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers
- Change water in machines and sinks every two hours or more often as required and properly use chemical dilutions set by EcoLab
- Assist in the timely storing of food deliveries
- Maintain trash cans throughout the shift and remove full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift
- Maintain the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves
- Follow the posted daily dish cleaning duties
- Assist in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed
- Assist in cleaning of service, dining, and pantry areas
- Complete all other account specified needs under the direction of the assigned kitchen lead
- Must be able to read labels on chemicals
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor in high-stress situations
