Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • ability to lift materials from floor level to table height, which requires mobility and physical demands
  • work in an environment with noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures
  • familiar with operating a commercial dish machine and using cleaners and sanitizing solutions
  • ability to become ServSafe certified within one year of employment
  • ability to communicate and work with a variety of clients providing good customer service
  • working knowledge and experience in food service, and food safety practices and procedures
  • ability to remain productive in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to effectively work independently and as a team member

Job Duties

  • Properly store all service wares after they have been cleaned and sanitized
  • clean and sanitize kitchen equipment as assigned
  • clean and maintain all dish room equipment and ware washing tables, carts and surfaces
  • assist the Catering and Bakery culinary staff with kitchen production, receiving of deliveries, and other service duties as time allows
  • train and supervise student and temporary dish room staff
  • perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers
