Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience in a kitchen or foodservice environment preferred
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or with dishwashing equipment
  • washes pots, pans, and trays ensuring cleanliness and sanitation
  • polishes silverware using various methods including burnishing machines and chemical dips
  • ensures compliance with safety procedures
  • maintains temperatures and chemical levels as per standards
  • keeps dish areas organized and safe
  • sweeps and mops kitchen floors
  • washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces
  • removes trash and cleans garbage containers
  • transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • helps load and unload supplies and products
  • performs other assigned duties
