Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous kitchen or dishwashing experience a plus
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • ability to follow safety procedures
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • willingness to work flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
  • ability to handle exposure to chemicals and noise
  • ability to work in hot kitchen environment
  • adherence to Hilton Quality Assurance cleanliness standards

Job Duties

  • Complete opening duties including setting up and organizing dishwashing area
  • clean remaining dishes from prior day
  • complete closing duties including cleaning and organizing dishwashing area
  • remove trash bins and empty outside
  • perform nightly cleaning duties
  • operate all assigned equipment safely
  • sort and wash all soiled china, glass, and flatware using proper procedures
  • load and unload dishwasher items to storage
  • maintain dish machine and check temperature
  • minimize breakage using proper storage
  • assist with stocking supplies as directed
  • assist with food preparation as directed
  • perform additional cleaning of kitchen areas
  • keep pots, pans, and utensils clean according to standards
  • transport wares within kitchen
  • maintain safe, clean dishwashing area
  • check and maintain par stock of service station wares
  • monitor and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of service areas
  • empty and disinfect trash bins
  • clean designated areas on cleaning list
  • perform other duties as assigned
