Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old
  • availability to work Saturdays and Sundays
  • ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing
  • reliable transportation to and from work
  • ability to adhere to health and safety regulations
  • willingness to work part-time in a hotel environment

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years old

  • basic knowledge of sanitary guidelines
  • knowledge of dish machine operations
  • ability to supervise and train students
  • ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team

Job Duties

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand
  • place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas
  • maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
  • stock supplies such as utensils and plates in serving stations, cupboards, and racks
  • sweep and scrub floors as well as clean garbage cans with soap and water
  • sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
  • transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • regular and consistent attendance at work
  • perform other related work duties as assigned
  • serve as a resource for students by answering questions and providing guidance
  • document observations of performance and progress in timely fashion
  • ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including health code
