Job Requirements

  • Must successfully pass criminal background check including but not limited to convictions, guilty pleas, or no contest pleas to violent offenses, theft offenses, and offenses against children
  • high school diploma or relevant experience
  • must possess knowledge of and proficiency in the use of standard kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ranges, convection ovens, food processors, and dishwashers
  • must be proficient in the use of vacuum cleaners, basic cleaning equipment, and standard tools
  • ability to utilize both internal and external resources to obtain information and data necessary to carry out routine assignments and special projects
  • must have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and staff

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or relevant experience
  • proficiency in the use of standard kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ranges, convection ovens, food processors, and dishwashers
  • proficiency in the use of vacuum cleaners, basic cleaning equipment, and standard tools
  • ability to utilize both internal and external resources to obtain information and data necessary to carry out routine assignments and special projects

Job Duties

  • Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers
  • maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees especially members of their own team
  • have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive
  • perform routine and assigned cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary environment including cleaning the kitchen, equipment, utensils, dishes, dining area, restrooms, and other designated areas
  • follow the approved cleaning schedule to complete specific tasks on a daily, weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • collaborate with the Center Director to adjust the cleaning schedule as needed and promptly report any required building or equipment repairs
  • adhere to all safety, health, and fire prevention standards
  • actively monitor for potential hazards and promptly report any issues or deficiencies to the Director to support a safe and well-maintained environment
  • attend all job-related training sessions as required
  • perform other duties as required or assigned
