Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED not required
- Previous experience in similar role preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Willingness to perform repetitive motions including bending, twisting, and stooping
- Ability to follow safety and security policies
- Must be able to work full time
- Must be available to work on site at Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront

Job Duties
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dish washing machine and trash compactor
- Wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
- Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock
- Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the three-compartment sink to clean dishes
- Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items and send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing
- Rack and spray all racked items to remove food residue
- Sort, soak, wash, and re-wash silverware
- Break down dirty bus tubs
- Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area
- Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments
- Dispose of glass and break down cardboard boxes for recycling
- Follow safety and security policies and report issues to manager
- Complete safety training and certifications
- Protect company assets
- Communicate professionally and maintain positive working relationships
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors
