Job Duties

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashers and hand-washing stations
  • wash and sanitize kitchen areas, storage rooms, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
  • receive deliveries, properly store perishable goods, and rotate inventory
  • ensure clean dishware is stored in appropriate areas
  • use chemical detergents, disinfectants, and rinse agents in a three-compartment sink for dishwashing
  • inspect, remove, stack clean items and send dirty items for re-washing
  • place all items on racks and apply hot water spray to loosen and remove food residues
  • sort, soak, and wash or rewash cutlery
  • classify and separate containers for dirty items
  • empty trash bins and maintain trash deposit areas
  • clean and mop all areas in assigned departments
  • dispose of glass in proper containers
  • break down cardboard boxes and recyclable materials and place them in recycling bins
  • follow all company safety policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions, complete safety training and certifications
  • protect company property
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals
  • ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards
  • move, lift, transport, push, drag, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • stand, sit or walk for extended periods
  • reach above head and below knees, including crouching, waist twisting, dragging, and bending
  • perform other reasonable job tasks as assigned by supervisors
