Job Duties
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashers and hand-washing stations
- wash and sanitize kitchen areas, storage rooms, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
- receive deliveries, properly store perishable goods, and rotate inventory
- ensure clean dishware is stored in appropriate areas
- use chemical detergents, disinfectants, and rinse agents in a three-compartment sink for dishwashing
- inspect, remove, stack clean items and send dirty items for re-washing
- place all items on racks and apply hot water spray to loosen and remove food residues
- sort, soak, and wash or rewash cutlery
- classify and separate containers for dirty items
- empty trash bins and maintain trash deposit areas
- clean and mop all areas in assigned departments
- dispose of glass in proper containers
- break down cardboard boxes and recyclable materials and place them in recycling bins
- follow all company safety policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions, complete safety training and certifications
- protect company property
- communicate clearly and professionally
- develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals
- ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards
- move, lift, transport, push, drag, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
- stand, sit or walk for extended periods
- reach above head and below knees, including crouching, waist twisting, dragging, and bending
- perform other reasonable job tasks as assigned by supervisors
