Job Duties

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashing machines and trash compactors
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen, storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
  • Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock
  • Use detergent and sanitizing chemicals in a three-compartment sink to clean dishes
  • Inspect and rewash cleaned items as necessary
  • Rack and spray items with hot water to remove food residue
  • Sort, soak, and wash or rewash silverware
  • Break down dirty bus tubs and maintain trashcans and dumpster area
  • Clean and mop all assigned departmental areas
  • Dispose of glass properly and recycle cardboard and other recyclables
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions
  • Participate in safety training and certifications
  • Maintain positive working relationships and support team goals
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
