Job Duties
- Load, operate, and unload the dish machine according to proper procedures
- monitor water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycles
- follow sanitation guidelines set forth by the Health Department
- follow weekly cleaning schedule to maintain the standard of the restaurant
- keep the dish room clean and organized
- remove trash and recycling and transport to designated areas
- communicate with chefs and management about any maintenance concerns
- clean all restroom facilities and other assigned areas before the restaurant is open to the public
- sweep and mop floors, wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and all other surface areas
- stock food, beverages and supplies as directed by the chef
- proper handling of food
- ensure clean items are properly sorted, stored, and returned to service areas in a timely manner
- support kitchen staff with basic prep, storage, labeling, and organization when needed
- transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- restock tools and supplies for the next shift
- maintain temperature logs
- keep walk-in cooler/freezer organized
- all other duties assigned
